Who We Are

BarsAndBands.com is a live music booking marketplace connecting bars and music venues with local bands and artists. We are operated by Holland AI Consulting, Yorkville, IL.

What We Collect

When you sign up or use BarsAndBands.com, we may collect:

• Contact info: Name, email address, phone number
• Business info: Business name, city/location, venue type or band genre
• Social media links: Facebook Page, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, website URL (you provide these voluntarily)
• Payment info: Processed securely through Stripe — we never store card numbers
• Booking data: Booking requests, pitch messages, gig confirmations
• Usage data: Pages visited, actions taken on the platform (standard web analytics)

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account on BarsAndBands.com
• To connect bars with bands — your public profile (name, genre, city, fee range, social links) is shown to other members
• To send booking requests and pitch messages between bars and bands
• To send you SMS and email notifications about booking activity (you opt in at signup)
• To post on your behalf to Facebook and Instagram only when you explicitly authorize it via the "Connect Facebook Page" flow
• To process subscription payments through Stripe
• To send platform updates and important account notices

Facebook & Instagram

If you choose to connect your Facebook Page to BarsAndBands.com, we use the Facebook API to:

• Display your Pages so you can select which one to connect
• Post booking announcements and live music promotions to your Page (and linked Instagram account) when a gig is confirmed
• Read basic engagement data to verify your Page is active

We request only the minimum permissions needed. You can revoke access at any time through your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.

SMS & Text Messaging

By signing up for BarsAndBands.com, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to your account — including booking requests, booking confirmations, and platform alerts.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any text message. You will no longer receive SMS from us. Standard message and data rates may apply.

We use Twilio to send text messages. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the platform:

• Twilio — SMS notifications
• Gmail / Google — Email delivery and calendar integrations
• Stripe — Subscription payment processing
• Retell AI — Automated voice calls for outreach and inquiries
• Firecrawl — Web data research for finding venue and band leads
• Facebook / Instagram API — Social media posting (with your authorization)
• Netlify — Website hosting and serverless functions
• Google Sheets — Lead and member data logging

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data each service needs to function.

Data Storage & Security

Member data is stored in Google Sheets and Netlify's infrastructure, both of which use industry-standard encryption and access controls. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Your Rights

You can:

• Request deletion of your account and data at any time
• Update your information by contacting us
• Opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any text
• Revoke Facebook access via Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites

To request data deletion, email us at steve.holland@barsandbands.com with your name and the email used to sign up. We will process your request within 30 days.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies for session management and analytics. We do not sell cookie data or use third-party ad tracking cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform grows. We'll notify active members of significant changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
